Cleaning and manipulating data for improved quality	Conducts basic data cleaning using tools in spreadsheet software.
Structuring data and constructing a data model	Designs structured tables in spreadsheet software for the collection of various data. Describes use cases for common file formats (csv, xls, etc). Describes the elements/taxonomy of a data model (i.e. entity types, attributes, relationships, etc.). Sets up a simple logical data model.

Applying design best practices to information product	Utilizes and adheres to information product templates, style guidelines, visual identity, and design standards.
Incorporating data visualization into information product	Produces basic visual information products such as key figures using the features of standard office software or entry-level tools, incorporating data visualization best practices.
Updating, configuring, and maintaining website	Follows instructions to update a simple web site or web-based dashboard using in-place editor (rich-text/plain text/no-code). Follows instructions to monitor visitor analytics and perform administrative components of website management.
Planning for web product while incorporating UX/UI best practices	Develops basic web product design plans (for example, wireframing, storyboards, user stories, prototyping, etc.). Identifies the four principles of user interface design (place users in control of the interface, make it comfortable to interact with a product, reduce cognitive load, make user interfaces consistent).
Developing interactive data visualization products for the web	Uses out-of-the-box data visualization software to create basic dashboards.
Developing web-based geospatial information product	Explains resource and skill requirements to implement various web based maps.

Structuring data and constructing a data model	Differentiates between relational and non-relational databases. Uses advanced file formats for data collection and transformation (for example, macro-enabled workbooks). Sets up a simple physical data model.

Updating, configuring, and maintaining website	Provides basic training for people to update content and maintain a simple website (rich-text/plain text/no-code). Applies simple coding skills to modify website as needed. Implements visitor analytics. Procures and manages domain names. Procures and manages web hosting and cloud servers.
Planning for web product while incorporating UX/UI best practices	Integrates World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) web standards in product design. Applies design methods and techniques to web projects.
