Kat joined the American Red Cross in Jan. 2022 after 15+ years in international development. She works on the Data Tech Team supporting engagement with various open source project communities including OpenStreetMap, Missing Maps, and MapSwipe. Inspired by the potential and the accessibility of high-quality data and digital solutions, she explores ways for American Red Cross partners and volunteers to build awareness of and engagement with open data and the open data geospatial communities.
